Days 80-83- stuck in Nassau

I have not updated the blog in a few days, mainly because there is not much going on, we are currently waiting out a possible stalled storm over next 5 to 7 days. One of the apps we use for planning routes is predict wind, on the screenshot shown in this post are the forecasted sustained winds and gusts and also wind direction.

After taking that info into consideration , i also use a program called fast seas which helps route a planned voyage using the latest weather. So depending on the wind direction it could make a direct 42 mile route, take over 60 miles based on how we would have to tack. Now we could always take the direct route if we motored if we really wanted too.. But this is a sailboat and fuel is not cheap in the Bahamas.

So with all the info we have and apps i use, it is safer to stay in the protected harbour until the stalled weather system moves away. The next few days we are going to rent a car and do some chores, and plan every stop we want to make when we arrive in the Exumas. We made several friends in the anchorage that will help us make this more tolerable, also we are well stocked with rum.
