We woke up to a morning temp of 48 degrees, our first shot of Fall weather on the boat. Once out of bed we quickly threw on all of our foul weather gear, 2 hats and gloves. We started the engine around 7 and were back on the ICW by 7:15 am. It was only about a 40 mile day however bad timing on bridge openings cost us an hour. The downfall of a sailboat on the ICW is all the bridges we need to go under. We got to our destination around 3 and anchored the boat again. We left the boat for a few mile walk on the beach, then came back for some venison tacos. Tomorrow we might delay leaving to go see the Airlie Botanical gardens. Then after we will try to get a few more miles under the keel.
